101 in 1001

Inspired by Mackenzie Horan’s three (!!!) rounds of 101 in 1001, I decided to put together a list of the 101 things I want to accomplish in the next 1001 days (barring some personal and professional goals that I do not feel very comfortable sharing online). Excited about getting shit done and making things happen!!!

Travel & Adventure

  1. Travel to 10 new destinations in India
  2. Visit at least 1 new continent
  3. Travel to at least 3 new countries (1/3 – Sri Lanka)
  4. Take a cooking class in another country
  5. Go skydiving
  6. Go on at least 1 monsoon trek
  7. Go on a trip with my girlfriends
  8. See the Northern Lights
  9. Go on a homestay vacation
  10. Ride a hot air balloon
  11. Pick a holiday destination using a globe spin
  12. Spend New Year’s Eve in a different country

Family & Friends

  1. Start a non-negotiable once-a-month date night ritual with AT (3/33)
  2. Create our family trees
  3. Plan and book an epic holiday for our 5th wedding anniversary (Planning mode on)
  4. Send a care package to my four closest school friends (2/4)
  5. Send 52 cards / notes to friends & family in a year (3/52)
  6. Create a definitive birthday & anniversaries reminder list
  7. Do a photo shoot with Floppie
  8. Compile a recipe book of my family’s favourite recipes
  9. Start a birthday interview tradition (deleted)
  10. Host a dinner party for friends

Health & Fitness

  1. Participate in a 10 km run
  2. Exercise 5 days a week for a whole month (X3)
  3. Complete the 12-week Kayla Itnises program
  4. Learn and incorporate yoga into my fitness routine
  5. Move to the green zone on the Fitbit Cardio Fitness Scale
  6. Get a full medical check-up 1x/year
  7. Cultivate one sport hobby
  8. Master a handstand
  9. Give up (added) sugar for 30 days at a stretch (X5)
  10. Be able to do 50 pushups at a go
  11. Get my knees and wrist checked by a sports doctor / physiotherapist
  12. Try out Barre for a month

  1.   12. Learn to read & write in Bengali

Finances

  1. Clear off all credit card debt
  2. Make no credit card purchases for 1 whole month
  3. Create an “emergency fund” of at least 3 months of AT and my combined salaries
  4. Secure a source of second income
  5. Go for a month without shopping for any non-essentials (X5) (1/5, read more here)
  6. Save loose change in a piggy bank (Ongoing)
  7. Invest regularly in an SIP
  8. Exercise all my ESOPs before expiry

Creative/Personal Pursuits

  1. Create an Instagram account for my travel & street photography
  2. Do a 30-day art journaling streak
  3. Learn pottery
  4. Work on a Project 52 (a photo a week)
  5. Give drone photography a try
  6. Learn to edit videos
  7. Figure out a memory keeping work flow
  8. Do a memory keeping supplies edit once a quarter
  9. Complete my 20-odd pending memory keeping projects
  10. Create a better storage system for my memory keeping supplies and albums
  11. Get featured in a magazine or on a blog or website
  12. Create a travel journal on the go
  13. Complete 5 DIY projects
  14. Watch at least 1 TedX talk every month (1/33)

Others

  1. Volunteer at an old age home / orphanage
  2. Get a tattoo
  3. Get my hair colored
  4. Create a physical phone number & address book
  5. Organise my photos
  6. Figure out a solid backup plan for all of my photos and computer data
  7. Make a terrarium from scratch
  8. Learn how to curl my hair well
  9. Make a list of things I don’t like about myself and try to improve on them
  10. Save Rs. 1000 for every completed goal
